SUMMER
2005
Another
six months has passed since the last newsletter where has the time gone.
The society is as ever strong and vibrant, thanks to a committee, which
is full of enthusiasm and energy. I am so pleased that we now have a treasurer,
who so far, is really enjoying herself. Thanks Glennis for coming on board
with the rest of the mad artists. What a great job she is doing especially
with the help of Gordon.
I was so pleased with this years handing in night and a huge thank you
to the hanging committee or as Claire was told the "Lynch committee".
I cannot get over our "Art in Action" night. What a great job
Claire did. The evening buzzed and Bob Wellington did a recording, which
we now have on video. Claire and myself each have a copy for you to borrow.
Well done to all who took part and especially to Carol who won the competition.
We also had a lovely evening on Preview night with Colin Courtice opening
our Summer Exhibition. I am delighted with the way the exhibition has
gone this year especially the last day when everything went so well with
the new arrangements.
